These terms govern your use of Testr as an app owner or tester. Use the service only if you can enter a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in details, and use only accounts you are authorized to access.
Keep testing within the owner’s stated scope. Do not disrupt services, access other people’s data without permission, or submit fabricated, stolen, or duplicate findings as original work. We may restrict accounts or campaigns to investigate abuse or protect the platform.
Campaigns, reports, and rewards
Owners define testing scope, instructions, deadlines, and a fixed bounty for accepted unique bugs. Campaign funding creates available bounty slots. Joining a campaign does not guarantee a reward. General feedback is unpaid unless a campaign explicitly states otherwise.
A bug submission reserves an available bounty during review. Owners normally have seven days to review it; testers normally have seven days to appeal a rejection. The workflow and deadlines shown in your workspace govern each report. Administrators handle appeals. Approved rewards are credited to the tester’s balance.
Payments and prepaid credits
All platform balances are recorded in Ethiopian Birr (ETB). New campaign funding and prepaid credit deposits include Testr’s 10% funding fee on top of the reward budget: 5% Testr revenue and a 5% payment reserve. For example, adding 1,000 ETB in credits costs 1,100 ETB. The payment reserve is Testr’s allocation. Jami adds no checkout fee; its withdrawal fee and applicable government tax are separate deductions from the gross payout.
Payments become available only after provider verification. Available credits can fund campaigns without an additional funding fee. Unused campaign funds return to owner credit after closure and outstanding reports, appeals, and payments are resolved. Credits are for platform use and cannot be transferred to another user as general-purpose money.
Cash-outs and credit returns
Tester cash-outs and owner credit returns depend on provider availability, configured payout rates, account checks, and sufficient available balance. The minimum request is 100 ETB. Provider fees and applicable tax are separate deductions from a cash-out; review the quote before submitting.
Owner credit returns are reviewed by administrators. A return of unused principal does not automatically return transaction fees already charged. Disputed, pending, or reserved amounts cannot be withdrawn. We may delay requests while verifying transactions or investigating abuse; applicable mandatory refund rights still apply.
Apps, evidence, and confidentiality
Owners must have permission to offer their apps for testing. You retain rights to content you submit and grant Testr permission to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the service. Submit only evidence you are allowed to share.
Testers must keep private instructions, credentials, vulnerabilities, and evidence confidential, except when sharing them through the authorized review and appeal process or where disclosure is required by law. Owners are responsible for their apps and for acting on findings.
Service availability and disputes
Testr facilitates testing and payments; testing cannot guarantee that an app is free from defects. Features and provider availability can change. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or particular testing outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
